| Prentice Events was set up in 2007 To use this as a way of raising funds as well as promoting a healthy lifestyle in Scotland, and maybe even help reduce our carbon footprint. | ![]() |
![]() | So, Prentice Events was formed and officially registered as a Scottish Charity (sc039404), the problem now was how to run cycling events that were different and stood out from the rest, and we now have a range of cycle events that are aimed at families or at club cyclists and are in Scotland or international SESTRAN Two Capitals - A scenic run from Dunfermline, the original Capital City of Scotland, overt the Forth Road Bridge to Edinburgh finishing at Victoria Park ...a family fun ride 22 miles with transport available Auld Alliance - runs from Edinburgh to Paris, perhaps finishing perhaps with a blue light police escort. Sportive Dunfermline ...a cycle challenge starting and finishing in Dunfermline , with three courses, LONG 95 miles , MEDIUM 60 miles and SHORT 45 miles ....for club or proficient cyclists TOURDEFORTH ...a new event for MERCY CORPS ...cycle from Ocean Terminal Leith , over Forth bridge , round to Kincardine and back to Ocean Terminal about 90 miles ..plus a family fun ride of 24 miles ..Ocean Terminal to South Queensferry and return ....August "TOURDESFERMES ", which will run from Edinburgh to Strathkinness Fife and back the following day . |
| Prentice Events has supported a number of charities directly over the years:- Ekwendeni Hospitalin Malawi and Nyumbani in Kenya Mamie Martin Fund providing Girls education in Malawi Forth Radios Help a Child Kingdomkids Raised cash for equipment and bikes for over 60 Scottish Schools Maggies Centres Mercy Ships Hope4china Mercycoprs The Two Capitals Event , will be open to all to raise funds for their favourite charity , but we would wish all to consider our nominated charities each year and giving some of the funds you raise to Prenticeevents...to enable us to develop and grow as a charity supporting others.
