Prentice Events are a Registered Scottish Charity (sc039404), that aims to create and deliver charity events (primarly cycling ), to raise funds for bikes and equipment for schools and related organisations to improve the health of our youth and promote environmentally safe transport.

Our Charity also raise's money for other causes such as Malawi and Radio Forth's Help a Child appeal as well as other charities and good causes.

Auld Alliance Edinburgh to Paris Sept 2nd to 9th Sept 2008 :Places still available

Due to superfast ferry closing the service from Rosyth , we have moved the event dates and Ferry departure. We are now leaving Edinburgh on 2nd Sept , cycle to Little France (Edinburgh). We then board Minibus for Hull and then sail to Zeebrugge, then after 4 days cycling arrive in Paris on 6th September ..for the weekend .

We return on 9th September arriving in Hull and board minibus back to Edinburgh

Due to changes we have places for cyclists at £400 for the week , drivers/naviagators at £250 for the week, and also one or two free places if you wish to be part of our promotion team.

If you are interested in taking part , please -email- asap to (anprent at aol dot com) With the change to the Rosyth ferry service , places are becoming very limited.

It is a great week , and you don't need to be a super human to do this ride ... just reasonably fit ...we provide the back up and you cycle about 60 miles per day , starting in very flat countryside on country roads.

Forth One Breakfast get on their bikes on June 22nd

Forth Ones very own Boogie and Dingo have decided to leave their dark studio and come out and ride the TWO CAPITALS cycle ride on the 22nd June starting at 10.45 am in Dunfermline Glen.

So why not come along to support the guys , or wave to them enroute... better still sponsor them... by donating online as they raise money for charity .



The guys should reach Ocean terminal sometme in the mid afternoon , so come along to Leith and see the guys finish ...better still why not enter now and ride with them ...entries before the end of May (or first 500 if before ) will get a chance to win a new bike.

Note to entrants: You need to enter before the end of first week in June or we cannot gaurantee your shirt on the day ...please enter now to avoid disappointment ....

We now expect to have a short course of 7 miles for children or those less confident to do the long one , so please keep checking this site for more details.

SESTRAN - Two Capitals Cycle Ride 2008

SESTRAN- Two Capitals Cycle Ride

22nd June 2008
The cycle ride has been organised by PRENTICEEVENTS to take place on June 22th 2008, from Dunfermline Glen to The Royal Yacht Britannia at Ocean Terminal, Leith.

The main purposes of the ride are to raise money for bikes and cycle equipment for schools and other charities, as well as raising the profile of cycle routes, keeping fit and pedal power to reduce carbon emissions.

The entry fee will be £15 for adults and £10 for children under the age of 16 years. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

In 2007 this event gave £200 vouchers to 53 schools/colleges/community groups to buy bikes and bikes equipment ( schools nominated by entrants ).

In 2008 , we will continue to support schools to encourage cycle to school and promote health of our youth /reduce environmental damage

In 2008 we will also support Radio Forth's Help a Child charity.
